Adidas, the long standing German sportswear manufacturer, are one of the world leading football kit and football boot supplier. The company was bought in bankrupcy in 1989, and has grown to be one of the two biggest manufacturers of sportswear in the world.

Adidas has a unique backing from FIFA - football's governing body - in that they said that through their company promoted a "rich, attacking, fast paced football FIFA like to promote".

Adidas Football Boots were really brought onto the scene by Adidas Predator Football Boots. Designed by ex professional footballer Craig Johnson, the Predator had a ribbed surface along the top of the Metatarsus, allowing more control when the ball is struck.
