Cheap Adidas Predator Football Boots
In 1994, the first Adidas Predator Football Boot was launched with a bit of a fanfare. The boot was designed by Craig Johnson, who's career at Liverpool was cut short due to tragic circumstances. A prolific striker fo the ball, Craig Johnson had an idea to change the outstep of the boot to a rather uneven surface of teeth and dimples which allows more ball-to-foot contact when the ball is struck. This, more importantly allows experienced players to control the ball when it is struck, with them to apply more spin and aftertouch. By signing up a number of professional footballers to wear the boots and endorse them, including a number of players who played in the 1994 World Cup, Adidas Predator boot's success was assured.
The second Adidas Predator boot was launched a year later, in 1995, and it was called the Rapier. After this, Adidas established a tradition of releasing a Predator football boot every two years to coincide with each major international tournament that European teams participated within, be it a World Cup or a European Championship. In the past, as well as their ability to spin the ball, Adidias Predator football boots had a number of innovations.
For example, to coincide with Euro 1996 that was held in England, the Adidas Predator football boot known as the Touch was released. This football boot was the first to have moulded studs. However, they also produced a more traditional detatchable stud version, for proffessional footballers, though that wasn't released to the public.
Before Euro 2000, the Predator Precision was released. This allowed different studs to be fitted to the boot, to suit particular ground conditions. These were easily switched with the loosening of a tiny screw, and were well and truly secure.
The Pinnacle of the Adidas Predator football boot range came before the 2002 World Cup, with the release of the Predator mania. This came with both moulded and detatchable studs depending on ground conditions, and had kangaroo skin as the basis for the aftertouch pads on the top of the boot, these football boots - discontinued in 2003, are still selling today, well above their original price of £120 on sites such as ebay. This shows the popularity of the boot, and it's considered to be one of the best football boots ever made.
Not limiting itself to football, the Adidas Predator football boot has also become a rugby boot, with the last three designed with a wider sole to suit rugby players.
Adidas Predator Football boots are worn by top players including Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham, Steven Gerrard,Jonny Wilkinson and Ronan O'Gara.
